Privacy Policy — CW Google Workspace MCP

This privacy policy describes how Code Works, Inc. ("Code Works," "we," "us") handles data in connection with the CW Google Workspace MCP application ("the App"), an internal tool used by the Code Works team to interact with Google Workspace services through Claude, an AI assistant by Anthropic.  

  What data the App accesses

When you link a Google account to the App, it requests access to the following Google services:                                                                                             

  • Gmail (read emails, create drafts, send emails)                                                                                     

  • Google Calendar (view, create, update, and delete events)                                                                         

  • Google Drive (search, read, create, and share files)                                                                                

  • Google Sheets (read, write, and create spreadsheets)                                                                                

  • Google Docs (read, create, and edit documents)                                                                                      

  • Basic profile information (email address and name)

How data is used

Data from your linked Google accounts is accessed only when you explicitly request it through Claude. The App acts as a bridge between Claude and your Google Workspace accounts. Your data is used solely to fulfill the actions you request — such as reading an email, listing calendar events, or creating a document.

How data is stored

  • OAuth refresh tokens (the credentials that allow the App to access your Google accounts) are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption and stored in Google Cloud Firestore.

  • Access tokens are short-lived (1 hour) and are not stored persistently.

  • The App does not store, cache, or retain the content of your emails, documents, calendar events, or other Google Workspace data. Data is retrieved on demand and returned to Claude for your current session only.

How data is shared

Your Google Workspace data is not sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. Data accessed through the App is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude service solely to fulfill your requests and is subject to Anthropic's data handling policies.

You can revoke the App's access to your Google account at any time by:

  • Using the "unlink_account" command within Claude to remove a linked account

  • Visiting your Google Account permissions page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing "CW Google Workspace"

Either method immediately revokes the App's ability to access your Google data.
